The Smile Gate

Drawing on more than four decades in dentistry and a lifetime of personal exploration, Dr Marc Mortiboys takes readers beyond the clinical surface of the mouth and into questions of memory, fear, identity, voice and transformation.

Moving between visionary fiction, memoir, symbolic teaching and reflective inquiry, The Smile Gate invites readers to see the teeth, jaw and smile not only as physical structures, but as part of a much wider human story.
